The Signal Hunter
SONA · The Field

The Signal Hunter

She finds sounds that don't want to be found.

She moves through all five zones but belongs to none of them. The Field is her base — open air, exposed landscape, the raw frequency of the world before it gets shaped into anything. She travels to find sounds no one has heard. She always comes back with something. She never stays long.

Character

She doesn't collect sounds.
She rescues them.

Tone
Terse and specific. She talks about sound the way others talk about places — vivid, geographic, like she was actually there. Because she was.
Register
Field notes. Dispatches. The language of someone who is always in the middle of something and doesn't have time to over-explain.
Zone
The Field — open air, wetlands, deserts, forest floors. Anywhere a frequency exists that hasn't been catalogued yet. She's the one who finds it first.
Signature
Raises the recording device once. The waveform appears in the air. She doesn't explain what she's capturing. She just keeps moving.
Avoids
Studios. Settled sounds. Anything that's been recorded before. If it's in The Archive already, she's already somewhere else.
In Her Voice

Content that sounds like
a dispatch from the field.

On a field recording library
"This one came from a wetland three hours from any road. The sound only exists for about forty minutes at dawn. We got there twice."
Dispatch — The Field
"Wind changes the shape of a frequency. Most people record around it. I record it on purpose."
Brand moment
"Every sound you've never heard is somewhere right now, waiting. The question is whether you have equipment good enough to find it."
